About My Work
As a Cuban-American scholar dedicated to community advocacy, I work to mitigate the harm of mass incarceration, gender based violence and economic inequality through meaningful academic scholarship and on-the-ground work.

My research interests include nationalism, gender and sexuality, critical legal studies, neoliberalism (its intersections with visual culture, representation and social identity), and economic sociology.
Professional Associations
I am co-founder of Youth Collective for Economic Justice, an alumni of Sarah Lawrence College and am currently applying for graduate studies. I currently work as an investigative paralegal in the Special Victims Bureau, child abuse and domestic abuse unit of the Manhattan DA.
